Real Madrid goalkeeper, Keylor Navas has said that the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo is part of why the club suffered a loss to CSKA Moscow in a Champions League tie last night.
Madrid was defeated 1-0 in what makes it their third game without scoring a goal. A second-minute goal from Nikola Vlasic proved decisive against the defending champions who won the trophy three times consecutively.
“Cristiano left the bar very high at Real Madrid,” Navas said.
“You cannot cover the sun with a finger.
“He made many goals while he was here, but it’s already the past and we cannot live in the past.”

But according to Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric, the club is not in facing crisis despite pressure mounting on head coach Julen Lopetegui.
“It’s not a crisis but we haven’t been performing the way we should.
“No doubt, we’ll get back to winning ways.
“As for tonight, CSKA showed they are very well organised and have really good players.
“They used their chance, we didn’t use ours,” Modric told reporters in the mixed zone.
Speaking about the loss, Lopetegui said,
“We failed to take the countless chances we had,” the Coach said after Tuesday’s 1-0 Champions League defeat.
“We hit the woodwork three times and weren’t lucky. We still tried every avenue, but it was a scrappy match that started with an unexpected situation, which turned out to be the perfect scenario for them, plus we had bad luck.
“We must keep insisting for goals, continue to create chances and have faith in our finishing.
“I have no doubt that the team will get back among the goals and wins. Tonight isn’t easy, it was a game we had to win and we’re going back with a defeat.
