Senator Ben Bruce has been teargassed by the police during a peaceful protest staged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against what they term election robbery in Osun State.
Taken to Twitter, Ben Bruce stated that the peaceful protesters were also met with bullets.

@inecnigeria’s office where I am currently leading a protest against the Osun election robbery that was perpetrated against the @OfficialPDPNig candidate Senator @IsiakaAdeleke1. We will peacefully struggle to get his stolen mandate restored to him.
I have just been teargassed by the
@PoliceNG at @inecnigeria office. Gunshots have been fired. This was a d still is a peaceful protest. How can I be treated like this in a country I have fought for and invested in? This is madness, I came with words they answered with bullets!”
Spotted at the protest is Senate President Bukola Saraki who tweeted:
‘I joined other leaders of our great party, PDP, on a protest from our party headquarters to the INEC headquarters to protest against the outcome of the Osun State election and to demand for the continued independence of INEC’.
Other politicians at the protest include, Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal, PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, Former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido etc.
