Canadian rapper, Drake has filed a lawsuit against a woman who claims he raped and got her pregnant.
In the lawsuit, Drake claims he met the woman Layla Lace last year during his Boy Meets World Tour in Manchester, England. He said they hooked up at his hotel and had consensual sex and “Layla also voluntarily and seemingly happily performed oral sex…”
According to Drake who field the suit through celeb lawyer Larry Stein, Layla went ballistic when he sent her home rather than taking her on tour with him.
Seen in the lawsuit are a number of text messages she sent Drake in the following weeks, saying how much she missed him and so on. According to rapper, she created a “fantasy relationship” with him and, at a point he didn’t have the “time or energy to respond”, which must have set her off.
In April 2017, Layla Lace shared on social media that she is pregnant, saying, “So I guess still in this era this is the new thing that after you tell a dude you pregnant they stop answering they phone!!!”
The lawsuit also say she threatened to publicly leak messages from Drake. She also went on SiriusXM and announced Drake got her pregnant. She went on to hire a lawyer and demanded money from Drake for her alleged baby.
The suit however claims she refused to take a paternity test as she and her lawyer went radio silent. Drake says the whole thing was a scam … “There is no credible evidence of pregnancy, nor any baby, which would have been born last Fall.”
Layla however switched tactics and issued claims that the rapper raped her during their one night stand. She hired a new lawyer who demanded money from him or else they would make the rape complaint public.
