A 17-year-old South African student has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his 24-years-old teacher, Mr Gadimang Daniel Mokolobate, to death.
According to reports, the said student stabbed his teacher last Thursday, in the presence of a class full of students. The students where said to be in the process of writing an examination at Ramotshere Moiloa High School in Zeerust‚ North West, South Africa before the incident occurred.
It was gathered that the teacher, Mr Gadimang. D. M reprimanded this student on Wednesday, September 12, for skipping the queue at the school’s feeding programme. On Thursday, September 13, the suspect arrived school later than usual, armed with a knife with which he stabbed the teacher. It is however gathered from the department that in March, the school had warned the suspect against bringing knives to school.
Reports have it that two teachers were invigilating in the classroom when he (the suspect) approached the teacher, who had reprimanded him the previous day, and stabbed him in the chest several times.
Though the suspect tried running away shortly after stabbing the teacher, he was tackled and caught by a security guard and other students present at the scene.
Pictures of the boy obviously flaunting his crime weapon and that of the teacher on his hospital bed right before his death have surfaced online. The Police has however confirmed that the teen is in thier custody and would be charged with murder.
