Portugal names 23-man squad for Russia 2018 World Cup

Below is the list of the 23-man squad which will be representing Portugal at the Russia 2018 World Cup. Leading the team is Coach Fernando Santos who helped Portugal lift the trophy at the Euro 2016 tournament in France.

Missing in the list is Ruben Neves and Rony Lopes of Monaco, while Nani is absent due to his struggles at Lazio. Also missing is Renato Sanches who was a key part of Portugal’s success in France two years ago.

Midfielders: Adrien Silva (Leicester), Bruno Fernandes (Sporting), Joao Mario (West Ham), Joao Moutinho (Monaco), Manuel Fernandes (Lokomotiv Moscow), William Carvalho (Sporting)

Forwards: Andre Silva (AC Milan), Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Gelson Martins (Sporting), Goncalo Guedes (Valencia), Ricardo Quaresma (Besiktas).
